Creative Bug

I love to be creative. And as all you mom's out there know it's hard to find the time for yourself to do the things you want to do when your kids are small.  I know life goes by so fast, everyday my girls surprise me on how fast they are growing. That said, I've also notice that I have more time for myself and my creative side. It wasn't until I became a mom and a wife that I realized how much I loved either baking, decoring or crafts. I love to surf the internet and look at creative ideas from so many mom's out there. Don't worry I still take care of my kids..lol...but now that they are starting to be a little more independant I'm able to focus on what I like to do. And of coarse most of my creative side focuses on my kids or home.  I'm looking forward to sharing some of my stuff in the near future..I'm new at the whole blog thing and eventually i'll figure it out :)
Here are some cakes that I have made. I'm still a beginnner but getting there. You'll see my cakes start to get better the more I go.

My first cake ever!!!!!!! I even made it with marshmellow fondant that I made myself.

Valentine's Day cake. I wated to do something with my girls.

My least favorite cake. It was 1:00am and I wasn't in the mood to be creative at all.. It was for my daughters 4th birthday party. Mickey and minnie cake. Oh well.

My first topsy turvy cake! Circus theme. Let's just say the fondant was giving me a hard time. The cakes was still a big hit :)

Birthday Party planning!

Well i'm currently planning my daughters 5th birthday party and she wanted a Jake and the Neverland Pirates theme! Thanks for Disney Junior to have some things on their website. I have found someone on Etsy to make my invites but now the fun begins.. I think I might have to use some general pirate theme!
I'll keep you guys posted on how it goes and also post pics :) Oh and spring is just around the corner..yay!!

Something New

I decided that it was about time I get with the times and make my own blog page. I have to admit, even though I am 30 I have never texted before, Yep I know, what the hell right?  Sure I do the e-mail thing, facebook, blah blah blah. I know how to use the computer(thank god I'm not like my mother :) so why not make my own page!
Cheers to new beginnings since I think It's appropriate since we just started a new year ;)
